Considers fully all types of power plants and their components, methods of drive and speed changing mechanisms. Describes design and construction of all parts, their installation and adjustmetn as well as practical application of tractors in the field.
Invaluable to the student, farmer, machinist, blacksmith, implement dealer, rancher and all others wishing reliable information on gas motor propelled traction engines and their use. Hardcovre book is 475 pages long. Features 204 black and white illustrations and oflding plates. Chapters discuss scope, advantages and applications of power traction, making and exploding the gas, driving and housing the traction engine, cooling and lubricating the power plant, traction engine troubles and their elimination, and much more! Binding is shaken, front hinge is cracked, rear hinge is fine.
The covers and spine are lightly to moderately rubbed, with some faint scattered soiling and light fraying ot the corners and spine ends. Pictorial cover remains in excellent condition, adn the spine gilt is only lightly faded. There are no loose, torn or missing pages that i saw, with the exception of a 1/2 closed end tear to one fold outs as the fold edge attatches to the hinge. The inetrior is very clean. Overall, this book is in very good condition!
As with any book this old, some ageing and minor imperfections should be expected, as well as the possibility of unobtrusive prior owner's notations, invenotry control numbers and / or signatures. Any major imprefections will be noted.

Also, several times i have taken the packages for out-of-country shipment to the post office, only to be told that the postage was more than what was charged by the ebay calculator and more than what wsa quoted by their own usps online calculator.
