As described in the introduction of the first booklet the british close up magic symposium has been the realisation of a long held ambition for me that is, to hold a convention dedicated to close up which would allow the audience good viewing conditions (instead of the rather awkward seating and viewing arrangements often provided) and give the performers more of a 'theatre' and atmosphere in which to perform. The performers selected to appear at teh symposium are, at the time of writing, among the best that britain can offer. These booklets serves as a pleasant reminder of the performers of who appeared on the day of the british close up magic symposium, including effects which they performed. Includes booklets corresponding with the first, second, third, fourth, fifth, seventh, and eighth symposium from 1989 through 2003. Some of the performers had included kevin reay, bob ostin, stephen tucker, john hotowka, chris payne, mark leveridge, dan garrett, mike austin, michael ammar, al smith, walt lees, david roth, paul hallas, john bannon, jay sankey, and many others! Booklets include black and white illustrations throughout. All seven booklets are in overall near mint to mint condition! The first booklet has only a very small tape repair near the bottom left corner of the front cover.

If you are bidding on multiple items in auctions ending on different days, payment is exepcted within 7 days so i can keep things straight on my end. Money order and paypal will be shipped within 3 business days, items paid by check may be held until the check has cleared. Combined shipping at the same price as long as the weight doesn't kick up to the next higher raet and multiple packages aren't necessary.

With the cost of gasoline being what it is these days, it costs me over $5.00 in gas and wear and tear on the car alone to make the special trip to teh post office that is required because of customs forms, not to mention the additional time (usually an additional hour or more, round trip). Also, several times i have taken the packages for out-of-country shipment to the post office, only to be told that the postage was more than what was charged by the ebay calculator and more tahn what was quoted by their own usps online calculator. Another consideration is the cost of packing materials (tape, packing foam, etc.). This is why i have 2 statements in the listing to please click on the shipping calculator to determine your cost to ship this item before you bid so there are no surprises. I put them there so there would be no surprise as to the cost to ship these items after the fact. Please understand htat i do not like these high costs for long distance shipping postage and the associated costs any more than you do, but i have to pay for them. Check out my ohter items!
