Lewis ganson writes in the foreword having had a preview of rex taylor's entertaining three ring routine, for the purpose of providing photographic illustrations, it occurred to me that it would be appropriate to describe what i consider to be the most mysterious and clever method ever devised for linking and unlinking two rings. Although i have little to add to that which is included in dai vernon's 'symphony of the rings' perhaps by extracting the relevant paragraphs in that book, moves which can be incorporated in any routine will be brought to the attention of many more magicians than just those who have studied the complete vemon routine. The appearance to the audience is that two separate solid rings are linked together then separated again in a manner which si utterly bewildering. It is performed without haste or cover, the rings seemingly melting through each other right before the eyes of the spectators. In the 'symphony of the rings', the required moves are described under the headings of 1. The twisting move 2. Linking two rinsg 3. Spinning the irngs and 4. Unlinking the rings. By performing these moves in sequence, a smoothly flowing series of actions creates a perfect illusion.
I have taken new pohtographs to illustrate the text and trust that everything will be easy to follow. The moves are performed with one solid ring and the key ring, the latter being in the right hand and the former in hte left. Both rings are held in the crotches of the thumbs, which effectiveyl hides the split in the key ring. Â? 20 pages.
